1,787 Concerned Citizens Sign “Save the Amazon Headwaters Keystone” petition

At 11:50am on February 19th, members of the Southeast Neighbors Board will deliver a petition to Kitty Piercy, Mayor of Eugene, signed by 1,787 people. The petition asks that the “Eugene City Council purchase the 26 Acre Beverly property at the end of West Amazon Drive at Martin Way” to protect our water quality, watershed, and habitat, and to preserve this vital natural area for all of the city of Eugene and its future generations. The City Council will be deciding whether or not to purchase this property in a work session at 12:00pm.
