The City of Eugene sponsors CERT: Community Emergency Response Team training to citizens within the Eugene/Springfield metropolitan area. CERT trains citizens to be prepared to respond to emergency situations within their neighborhoods and community. Trained CERT members are able to give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members may also help with non-emergency projects that improve the safety of a community.
The Spring CERT Course is now open for enrollment. This session will be held at 1705 W 2nd Avenue on three Saturdays: 4/26, 5/3, and 5/10 from 8-5pm. To enroll, email CERT@ci.eugene.or.us or phone-541-682-5860. Please provide your email, phone, street address, and full name.
CERT volunteers are vital to our neighborhood’s ability to recover after a disaster. Please sign up today if you are interested. Seating is limited and this course fills up fast.
