Neighborhood Ambassador Training: Wednesday, January 20, 2016

The neighborhood ambassador program provides a “community first” approach to securing shelter for homeless families and individuals. The program goals are to:

  • educate neighbors about homelessness in the community
  • provide support to social service organizations who provide shelter options
  • connect faith communities, businesses, non-profit organizations, neighborhood associations, schools, and government offices with opportunities to help

When: Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Neighborhood ambassadors will help to create a network of community support in South Eugene. This training is for people who would like to learn more about the program and the different opportunities for neighborhood level involvement. It is a follow up to the YIMBY: Town Hall on Homelessness on November 18 but attendance at the Town Hall is not a requirement for attending
