We invite you to take care of the park and then play funky lawn games. We’ll bring the games, you bring the funk. This is a family-friendly event – no experience necessary. Meet at the playground. Tools, instruction and snacks provided.
Tugman Park is one of Eugene’s largest neighborhood parks. It is a beloved park for neighborhood kids who love playing in the sand and on the play structures or visiting the natural area in the northwest corner of the park. An adult kickball league and kid’s soccer are enjoyed by many. Southeast Neighbors has held it’s annual summer picnic at Tugman for many years and officially “adopted” it in 2013.
Neighborhood volunteers and organizations help with landscape bed maintenance, cleaning play structures, painting over graffiti, play sand maintenance and removal of non-native species along the Tugman creek corridor to benefit native species. It is a fun way to help make a difference for our community, meet people, and enjoy some Vitamin D. Snacks, work gloves, and tools are provided.
