LTD Fall Service Changes Take Effect Sept. 18


Beginning Sept. 18, Route 24 – Donald and Route 28 – Hilyard will run one hour later on Sundays, with most final trips departing at 8:30 p.m. Tweaks to departure times will also be made on Route 82 – LCC/Pearl to provide better transfers for passengers.

Later Hours & More Buses on Sundays

Beginning Sept. 18, we’re making buses more frequent and expanding hours of operation on Sundays. In total, we’re adding 14,000 service hours, a 5 percent increase in service! Below is a highlight of service improvements, but please view your route page or check the new Rider’s Digest for travel on or after Sept. 18 to see if you’re affected.

More Buses

EmX and Route 11 – Thurston will both have more buses running on Sundays, reducing the wait time between buses from 30 to 15 minutes all day.
A few additional buses will be put on the following six routes throughout weekdays to reduce wait times, ease crowding and increase reliability.

More Coverage

Route 33 – Jefferson will be extended to provide service on 29th from Washington to Amazon Parkway, now serving Woodfield Station Shopping Center and Amazon Station.
Route 40 – Echo Hollow inbound trips will be extended to provide service on 5th between Charnelton and Pearl and Pearl between 5th and 11th, now serving Amtrak and 5th Street Public Market.

Later Buses

The following 13 routes will run one hour later on Sundays, with most final trips departing at 8:30 p.m.

Time Adjustments

Tweaks to departure times will also be made on the following four routes to provide better transfers for passengers.
This large addition of service is driven by additional revenue from last year’s increase in the employer payroll tax and guided by feedback heard in our Annual Route Review process.
