Southeast Neighbors Board Meeting Tuesday, October 11: Amazon Corner Discussion

Rowell Brokaw Architects, PC has been engaged for the design of the multi-use property.

The Southeast Neighbors board has scheduled an informal meeting with the developer at their regular board meeting to talk about the 3195 Hilyard project currently known as “Amazon Corner” on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:00pm in the sanctuary at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 3925 Hilyard Street. This is not a formal hearing and there are no design plans to share at this time.

Local businessman Mike Coughlin wants to redevelop the site into a $22 million housing and retail project. Coughlin bought the nearly 2-acre property on Aug. 17 for $1.7 million, according to Lane County property records.

The existing structures are being demolished and will be replaced by an apartment and retail development, similar to the Crescent Village area in northeast Eugene. The development will have ground-level retail space topped by three floors of apartments.

Meeting attendees will be asked to share ideas for the type of retail most desired in the community. You can also send them to us by email at and we will make sure they are included for consideration.
