Design Excellence Lecture with Jarrett Walker on 11/30

by Kaarin Knudson, AIA-SWO Design Excellence Lecture Series Committee

We hope you will be able to join us for the next installment of the AIA-SWO Design Excellence Lecture Series. At 5:30pm on Wednesday, November 30, transit design expert Jarrett Walker will join us for a free, public presentation at the Downtown Athletic Club. A light reception will be held at 4:45pm.

Jarrett Walker is well-known for his innovative and thoughtful approach. He believes transit design can be simple, if we focus first on the underlying geometries and community values that define system design. The focus of Jarrett’s presentation will be on understanding public transit’s core power: to give people freedom and opportunities as a city grows.
