Eugene’s Rest Stop Program

Rest stops, also known as “Safe Spots,” are managed, gated communities of up to 20 people in tents, tiny homes, or Conestoga huts. Program sites are individually approved by City Council and managed by on-site social service providers. Residents are carefully vetted and must follow rules to stay in the program.

The Eugene City Council has expressed support for providing a rest stop in every Ward. Where could a program like this find the most support in Ward 2? Contact us with your ideas for siting and supporting on in our community.

The City Manager’s Office recently released this short video. More..
