Southeast Neighbors Picnic: Saturday, September 10, 2016


The 2016 Southeast Neighbors picnic at Tugman Park is shaping up to be a great one with warm and sunny skies predicted. The annual picnic is a family-friendly event where neighbors can meet up, enjoy entertainment, share excess garden bounty, learn more about the community, get more involved with local issues, have a great time, and just maybe take home a prize.

Entertainment
Listen to music from local favorites Rich Glauber and Pocket Change. Learn juggling, yo-yos, hula hoops, and more from the City of Eugene Circus Arts recreation team. Margaret Mazzotta will have information about crime prevention and a prize wheel activity for children. Eugene Bhangra will perform their signature Bhangra and Bollywood dancing.

1:00pm: Get To Know Your Neighbors (Interactive)

Food & Beverages
Sample Insta IPA, Kolsch and Atlas Blackberry Cider at the Claim52 booth. Enjoy a burger from Sunshine Deli Wagon, pork sliders from the Piglet, and delight in free ice cream from the Umpqua Bank Ice Cream truck.

Community Raffle/Sponsorships
Edgewood Animal Clinic, Lube It USA, Capella Market, Highlands Brew Pub, Eugene True Value Hardware, the Paddock, Safeway, Metropol Bakery, Wild Birds Unlimited and Tsumani Books are some of the generous donors to the 2016 raffle.

Don’t Forget to Bring
Be sure to bring your bicycles for free bicycle registration, a chair or picnic blanket for getting comfortable, and your friends and neighbors. If you would like to share produce from your garden, please feel free to bring your extras for the Garden Share Table.

Looking for a great opportunity to reach hundreds of community members of all ages?
Participating as a Partner Organization in the Southeast Neighbors Picnic at Tugman Park offers an all ages, all demographics audience for your organization. Tabling is free for non-profit organizations and $25 for profit businesses. In-kind donations of food items or services are also welcome. Sign up as a Partner Organization

It takes a lot of dedicated volunteers to help make this event a success. For each shift you volunteer, you will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a prize.
